Old factory spaces refitted with contemporary and recycled materi¬als and fixtures create open, light-filled residences. 地板和木窗框使用的都是可再生木材，橱柜使用的是浅黄色的胶合板，上海针织二十五厂的旧柱子和天花板都袒露着——所有这些共同构成了经典的城市loft感觉。

Living room flows smoothly into dining and kitchen space to create connection and continuity in the home while cozy bedrooms, spa¬cious bathrooms and quite office spaces are well insulated from the city’s noise and activity. Insulation is key — not just for noise, but for temperature as well.
Shanghai’s legendarily damp winters and humid summers remain out¬doors, thanks to the old factory’s thick walls, thick double-glazed glass and modern insulation — making it cheaper and easier to heat and cool (heat is provided by efficient gas radiators).
And best of all, just outside the front door, Jiashan Market’s rooftop gardens, restaurants and courtyard await… and just beyond them, all of Shanghai.
